Individual Giving & Major Gifts Officer
Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters (YBBBS)
YBBBS is seeking a passionate and strategic Individual Giving & Major Gifts Officer to drive our fundraising efforts and strengthen donor relationships. This role will lead individual giving initiatives, including annual appeals, tax credit campaigns, donor stewardship, and our Big Impact Society—a program designed to engage and grow major donors.
This position can sit in either our Prescott or Cottonwood, AZ office.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising & Donor Engagement
- Develop and execute strategies for annual, major, and planned giving campaigns.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, ensuring meaningful engagement and recognition.
- Lead donor outreach efforts for our signature events, Bowling for Kids' Sake, Gala, and Masquerade on Main, to increase high-level individual giving.
Stewardship & Major Gifts
- Enhance the Big Impact Society, deepening donor relationships and inspiring continued support.
- Implement personalized donor appreciation and recognition strategies.
- Guide donors toward higher giving levels through thoughtful cultivation.
Event-Based Fundraising
- Oversee peer-to-peer fundraising for Bowling for Kids’ Sake and Masquerade on Main.
- Collaborate with event teams to secure major gifts and auction items in advance.
- Create VIP donor experiences and post-event engagement strategies.
Strategic Planning & Board Relations
- Set and achieve annual fundraising goals.
- Provide progress reports to the Executive Director and Board.
- Support board engagement and fundraising initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
- 3 years of nonprofit fundraising experience with a focus on individual giving and major gifts.
- Proven success in donor stewardship, relationship management, and fundraising campaigns.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communicator with the ability to engage donors and inspire generosity.
- Experience with peer-to-peer fundraising and event-based donor engagement.
- Highly organized, goal-driven, and adept at managing multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with fundraising software, CRM systems, and online giving platforms.
Work Environment:
This role requires flexibility, including some evenings and weekends for donor events. Occasional regional travel may be necessary.
