Role
Yavapai County Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide day-to-day support for computer workstation hardware and software.
In this role you will routinely provide Tier 1 and 2 support to various county users and departments. You will be expected to become proficient in the troubleshooting, support, and installation of Microsoft Office products, end user computer hardware and peripherals and department specific software applications.
Salary hiring range: $52,078.17 to $66,399.66 depending on qualifications.
Major Duties, Responsibilities
- Deploy computer hardware to end users (desktop, laptop, monitors, docks, etc.).
- Update and maintain an accurate inventory database.
- Ensure service or technical issues are being proactively resolved.
- Help resolve technology issues in person and remotely.
- Complete accurate documentation of work performed within our ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot, printing, faxing, and connectivity issues.
- Collect and provide detailed data on issues that need to be escalated to a higher level of support.
- Other responsibilities as requested by leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in information technology or related field.
Additional Requirements:
Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
