This internship runs full-time from May 12, 2025 to August 15, 2025.
What You Will Be Doing
- Create softare plug-in that can accurately rad/interpret the cusotmers STV, whehn using Yazaki's PPA tool for harness complexity. Target new business
- Consolidate sub assemble usage between SBU programs, to achieve economies of scale for certain commodities.
- Review car vehicle specifications to ensure that a new program’s complexity matches vehicle requirements
- Communize sub-assy. components used between programs for similar vehicle feature content. Same wire, same connector, same gauge, same terminal, communize length etc.
- Work directly with Principal Engineers to create software plug-ins that will allow accurate interpretation of our customer & PCs on new business programs.
- Work closely with selected staff to create a sub assembly commonization proposal
- Education: Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution during the internship period.
- Relevant Background: Degree/experience related to the position in electrical or software engineering
- Academic Standing: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Commitment: Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks between May 12, 2025, and August 15, 2025
- Technical Skills: Ability to write simple forms of software text
