What we are looking for :
Yazaki is looking for a Transportation Analyst to join our Supply Chain team in El Paso, TX. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.
What you will be doing :
- Coordinates all processes and functions of load planning and freight movement.
- Process customer orders, plan & optimize shipments into loads, tender freight to external carriers
- Update the Transportation Management System with current shipment information
- Provide visibility to management and our internal customers by tracking, auditing, researching, and troubleshooting operational issues or functions
- Complete daily logs, trackers, and internal systems with detailed information
- Escalate rate negotiations with carriers on a spot rate basis to the Logistics Engineering team
- Identify cost savings opportunities for the Logistics Engineering team
- Escalate damage notifications from DC to Logistics Claims team and Carrier
- Coordinate on-time performance (pickup and delivery) with carriers by tracking loads in TMS
- Knowledge of systems and tools required to perform the job and ability to help the team when needed (Training will be provided)
- Escalate to the shift's specialist or supervisor when a risk or scenario is impacting our network performance
- Display of team-player attitude
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by the shift's specialist or supervisor
