 JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective:

The Administrative Assistant serves as a shared resource supporting senior leadership and HR.  This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized individual who excels in communication and collaboration with leaders at all levels. Responsibilities include handling various administrative tasks such as printing, faxing, filing, mailing, copying, scheduling and planning, document management, correspondence, and other administrative duties that contribute to the efficiency of daily operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides direct administrative support to senior leadership, including the President, Vice Presidents, Directors, and Human Resources.
  • Schedules meetings, trainings, and maintains calendars.
  • Arranges travel accommodations.
  • Organizes and supports employee events, milestone celebrations, and wellness initiatives, such as coffee trucks, Employee Appreciation Day, company picnics, holiday parties, and seasonal decorations.
  • Manages the Employee Uniform Program.
  • Drafts, prepares, and submits internal and external correspondence.
  • Coordinates meeting logistics, including booking conference rooms and arranging catering.
  • Maintains filing systems and organizes documents.
  • Retrieves mail from the mailbox daily, sorts and delivers.
  • Orders office supplies as needed. 
  • Plans and coordinates meetings involving senior management, including taking detailed notes and keeping discussions on track.
  • Assists with special projects, including creating PowerPoint presentations, financial spreadsheets, reports, and agenda materials.
  • Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with discretion.
  • Performing other duties as assigned

 

Required Education and Experience

  • High school education/GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of prior office/ administrative professional experience.
  • Excellent Communication (verbal and written)

 Shifts Available: 1st Shift Monday - Friday 8AM-5PM. Starting rate of pay is $23/hour

Employment is full-time through a local staffing agency. Once an applicant has completed the required contract hours with the staffing agency and met performance standards, regular employment will begin with Yazoo Mills. Hours worked under the staffing arrangement are credited toward service time and benefits eligibility
