Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing venipunctures and collecting blood samples from patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role is crucial in supporting laboratory operations and providing high-quality patient care.
Duties
- Perform venipuncture and capillary collections for blood samples.
- Ensure accurate labeling and documentation of specimens.
- Maintain aseptic technique to prevent contamination during procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after blood collection.
- Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
- Assist in the preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis.
- Adhere to laboratory procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Skills
- Proficient in venipuncture techniques and blood collection methods.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the circulatory system.
