What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Yeadon Fabric Domes?
Project Manager
Position Title: Project Manager
Workplace: Yeadon Factory
Department: Project Management
At Yeadon Domes, we work hard to make sure that others can play hard – in any condition. One of the few companies in the world to specialize in climate-controlled, air-supported sporting facilities, we are continually striving to ensure that the communities, teams, and organizations we serve have the best experience possible. We believe that if they spend less time worrying about the details of their dome, they’ll have extra time to play even more. That’s where our project manager comes in.
As project manager, you’ll handle the logistics, details, ordering, and communication for various domes and dome-related projects. Day to day, you may fulfill varying roles and focus on a wide range of tasks. You will work from an office environment the majority of time, but also be required to occasionally visit project sites to collect information, plan and assess work activities, manage problems and interact with architects, GCs, other contractors, and customers. You will work collaboratively with other project participants to complete the project scope and meet the time and cost requirements of the project. Additionally, you will provide estimates for new projects, dome service, annual put ups and takedowns, and provide pre contract technical support to our sales team.
AS OUR PROJECT MANAGER, YOU WILL:
· Be a proactive and skilled communicator. As our Liaison between customers, contractors, architects and internal Yeadon personnel, project managers internally coordinate with management, other project managers, our service manager, design team, production, service coordinators, and the sales team. You will regularly represent Yeadon and participate in customer-facing meetings, as well as report on the status of your projects.
· Create, monitor, maintain a variety of dome projects and activities with attention to detail. When you join our team as a project manager, we trust that you know how to truly manage. You will schedule resources and manage project costs, issue purchase orders, track and coordinate vendor materials and shipments, and - maybe most importantly - manage time.
· Play well on a team - and know how to be self-sufficient. As mentioned above, you’ll be working with quite a few teams. However, you may be required to complete tasks with little to no supervision both in the office and in the field. When it comes to your projects, we want to know that you have got it covered. We’re looking for someone who will utilize project management software and office applications to effectively manage their projects, workload and to communicate with others. You’ll also be responsible for visiting project sites as needed to facilitate and ensure progress.
· Juggle like a pro. If it’s not clear by now, you’ll be wearing lots of hats! If you’re someone who gets bored doing the same thing over and over, or who can’t stand the idea of sitting in a cubicle every single day, you’ll have fun here. From supporting the sales team with estimates and quotes one day to visiting a job site the next, you’ll get a chance to use many different skills in this role.
YEADON IS LOOKING FOR A PROJECT MANAGER WITH:
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
· Attention to detail; mechanical and technical aptitude
· Proactive and responsive, sense of urgency
· Customer service-orientation
· Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Ability and willingness to travel
WE PROMISE TO:
· Get you up to speed. We don’t expect you to be an expert on all things domes or Yeadon the second you walk in the door. We know you won’t know what we expect until we communicate it to you. We will make sure that you are equipped with the training, tools, and resources to excel in your role.
· Listen to you. We know that in seeking out skilled communicators and team-players, we will need to embody those same qualities to best support you. You’ll be the one in the field, and in the know when it comes to your projects. Let us know what’s going on – we are ready to listen.
· Let you shine. However you need to. We know everyone goes about things a little bit differently, and we’re not here to micromanage your process. We care about consistency, reliability, customer experience, and results – and we trust you to know the best way for you to succeed in all those areas.
· Commit to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. We foster inclusivity and commit to providing a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for you, all community members and employees regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, background, or experience.

· Knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems
· History of growth/progression in past employment or academic experience
