Service Assistant – Motorcycle, ATV, UTV Dealership

Job Summary:
The Service Assistant plays a vital role in the dealership’s service department, supporting technicians and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This position involves assisting with customer interactions, scheduling service appointments, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the service area, and handling minor tasks to improve efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in the service department and assist with check-ins.
- Schedule service appointments and update customer records.
- Communicate with customers about service updates and estimated completion times.
- Assist service technicians by retrieving parts, tools, or vehicles as needed.
- Keep the service department clean and organized, including workstations, tools, and customer waiting areas.
- Conduct basic inspections and ensure units are ready for service (checking fuel levels, tire pressure, battery charge, etc.).
- Move motorcycles, ATVs, and UTVs safely around the service area or dealership lot.
- Help process work orders and invoices in coordination with the Service Manager.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed in the service area.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the service team.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Knowledge of motorcycles, ATVs, and UTVs is a plus but not required.
- Ability to move and handle powersports vehicles safely.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills for scheduling and work order management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
- Valid driver’s license (motorcycle endorsement preferred but not required).
