We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the establishment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Supervise staff, including training, development, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
- Manage inventory control processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
- Utilize Square POS system for efficient order processing and financial reporting.
- Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new team members as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the General Manager on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to food handling regulations and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
- Marketing and Promotions:
Assist in developing and executing local marketing strategies to drive traffic and increase brand awareness.
Collaborate on the creation of promotions, special offers, or events to attract and retain customers.
Utilize social media and online platforms to engage with the community and enhance the restaurant’s presence.
Vendor Relations:
Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing and delivery schedules to ensure quality products at optimal prices.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of management experience in a restaurant or casual dining setting (experience in quick-service or fast-casual environments preferred).
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
- Proficiency in financial management and inventory control.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
- Culinary experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and culinary techniques.
- Familiarity with Square POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Experience in training development and staff management is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
