What are the responsibilities and job description for the Career Advancement in Finance position at Year Up United?
The Financial Advisory Career Training Program at Year Up United equips young adults with technical and professional skills through classroom training, internships, and mentorship. This one-year or less intensive job training initiative provides hands-on experience in the financial sector, teaching valuable skills such as business communication and resume building.
Year Up United combines technical and professional training with access to internships and job placement support through its industry-leading talent placement firm YUPRO Placement. Interns may be placed at leading organizations in the Detroit area, including Bank of America or JPMorgan Chase.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be 18-29 years old
- Have completed high school or obtained a GED
- Be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Be available Monday-Friday throughout the duration of the program
- Be highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills
Upon completion, participants will have gained professional business and communication skills, interviewing and networking skills, and resume building expertise. During the internship phase, participants earn an educational stipend of $525 per week.
