What are the responsibilities and job description for the Career Launch Program position at Year Up United?
Year Up United is a one-year intensive job training program that equips young adults with in-classroom skill development, access to internships, and personalized coaching and mentorship. Participants also receive an educational stipend.
The program combines technical and professional training with internship placement support through YUPRO Placement. Interns may be placed at leading organizations in the Detroit area such as Bank of America or JPMorgan Chase.
To be eligible for this program, applicants must:
- Be a high school graduate or GED recipient
- Be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Be available Monday-Friday throughout the duration of the program
- Be highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills
- Not have obtained a Bachelor's degree
This program offers numerous benefits including professional business and communication skills, interviewing and networking skills, resume building, and ongoing support to help participants launch their careers. During the internship phase, participants earn an educational stipend of $525 per week.
