Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Adult Day Treatment Teacher Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with adults with developmental disabilities. This role is essential in assisting adult clients in learning essential life skills needed for everyday tasks.
Duties
- Assist in creating lesson plans, educational activities, and hands-on activities.
- Provide one-on-one support to clients, helping them understand and complete tasks as stated on their treatment plans.
- Supervise clients during classroom activities, ensuring a safe and productive environment.
- Support clients by adapting and modify activities and materials as necessary.
- Implement and record daily progress on client goals as stated in treatment plan.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and classroom space.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and parents regarding client progress and any concerns that arise.
Experience
- Previous experience working with adults with disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Experience in behavior management or caregiving will be beneficial.
- First aid/CPR certification is advantageous but not mandatory; training may be provided.
