What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Manager position at YellaWood?
Essential Duties :
- Coordinates production, distribution, warehousing, and shipping of product in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by the General Manager.
- Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
- Reviews production costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division.
- Ensures employee safety and compliance with governing regulatory agencies including OSHA and EPA.
- Coordinates chemical purchases with Project Engineer.
- Oversees overall maintenance and housekeeping of plant facilities and equipment.
- Maintains positive employee relations and compliance with employment policies and regulations.
- Implementing and enforcing safety policies and personally demonstrating his / her commitment to safety and compliance
- Incorporates Lean / 5S methods throughout the facility.
