Job Description
We are seeking a Reman Laborer at Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety requirements and wearing Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
- Stack lumber or other wood products in an organized manner.
- Ensure the reman area remains clean at all times, including disposing of staples, cross-outs, and damaged materials.
- Load and unload lumber and timber from conveyors efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of job operations and update inventory regularly.
- Dispose of waste materials properly upon completion of job tasks.
- Sort and arrange lumber, timbers, and finished goods according to sizes and grades for easy identification.
- Operate sawing equipment to make precise cuts.
- Utilize specialized equipment such as dry kilns to effectively dry lumber.
Requirements:
- No prior experience or training is required; however, a High School diploma is preferred.
