Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage public works projects valued at $5M
- Supervise and coordinate technical staff in project design and construction
- Prepare project designs, specifications, and contract documents
- Administer project construction contracts, including payments and change orders
- Conduct and oversee inspections of construction sites
- Coordinate grant applications for infrastructure funding
- Review engineering plans and building permit applications
- Manage the use and training of CAD software in the department
- Investigate public concerns, conduct field inspections, and ensure compliance with regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 6–8 years of civil engineering experience, including supervisory roles
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Iowa (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Valid driver’s license
Salary : $76,000 - $110,000
