Job Description: As an Assistant Director at Yellow Brick Road, you'll be an integral leader, steering our daily operations with grace and efficiency. You’ll ensure that our center runs smoothly, that supplies are plentiful and organized, and that our team is supported in delivering exceptional care and education. Multitasking will be your superpower, allowing you to handle administrative duties, staff support, and spontaneous dance-offs with equal prowess.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with licensing and safety regulations.
- Manage classroom resources and order supplies ensuring the environment is conducive to learning and growth.
- Assist in training staff and fostering a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Implement and improve internal processes using Microsoft Office Suite for maximum efficiency.
- Support the Director in strategic planning and execution of center objectives.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director in overseeing daily operations of the preschool, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Support classroom activities and curriculum implementation, focusing on early childhood education principles.
- Monitor and engage with children, promoting their development through play and structured activities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including attendance and incident reports.
- Collaborate with staff and parents to address children's needs and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid readiness.
Requirements:
- Proven multitasking abilities and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong leadership qualities with a knack for nurturing professional growth in others.
- Must meet all health and safety guidelines set forth by DHHS.
- Minimum age of 18 with a high school diploma/GED; higher education in a related field preferred but not required.
- Successful completion of background checks including Nebraska Child and Adult Abuse and Neglect Central Registry.
