Child Care Provider/After School Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Afterschool Childcare Provider to join our team from 12pm- 6pm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children in our care. This role involves not only supervising children but also facilitating their growth and development through various activities. The Afterschool Program teacher is also responsible for transporting the children to and from school safely.

Duties

• Drivers License is required to be able to transport children safely.
• Supervise and monitor the safety of children in your care at all times.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare area to provide a healthy environment.
• Monitor children's behavior and provide guidance to promote positive interactions among peers.
• Maintain accurate records of children's progress and any incidents that occur during care.
• Collaborate with parents or guardians regarding their child's development and any concerns that may arise.

Experience

• Previous experience in childcare or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Must be willing to get cerftified in CPR, first aid, and SIDS training.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalant is needed.
• Must be 18yrs or older.
• Drivers license is mandatory.
• Must be willing to get Food Handlers license.
• Must pass a criminal history background check and fingerprints done at own expense.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $9.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
