Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Person to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with taking orders, handling cash transactions, service bartending, food running, expediting , some light kitchen and cleaning duties, as well as ensuring that our customers have a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and possess strong communication skills. compensation includes co-equal tip-share. Must be 21 to serve alcohol.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for order processing and payment handling.
- Assist in upselling menu items to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Service Bartending, stocking and prep, mostly premixed cocktails and soft drinks
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area and assist with bussing tables as needed.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met in accordance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order delivery.
- Provide support during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
- opening and closing duties including cleaning , organizing, sweeping and mopping
Experience
- Previous experience in a quick service fast food restaurant or café is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash handling and operating a cash register is essential.
- Experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Background in the restaurant or food industry is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
