Description
Position Summary : The purpose of this position is to provide direct oversight to YBGR's Chemical Dependency program to include providing direct leadership to the Chemical Dependency Staff as well as comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, consultation, and treatment of substance abuse / dependence for youth under the care of YBGR programs.
Hiring Range : $2,226.61 - $2,449.00 bi-weekly which reflects steps 1-5 of an 11-step pay schedule. The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant's education and relevant experience
Supervisory Responsibilities : Provides leadership and supervision to Chemical Dependency Staff as outlined in the supervisor duties below.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including licensure supervision and oversight to staff pursuing their addictions counseling license
- Plans and directs work, ensuring that work schedules are adhered to and assigning specific duties to subordinate staff.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training employees. Conducts staff evaluations, job performance management (including coaching / counseling), and corrective action.
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate staff training and education programs are provided. Schedule and conduct regular staff meetings.
- Demonstrates effective management of a team toward achievement of goals, including appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities :
Directs, plans, and coordinates the design, development, and administration of organization wide chemical dependency programs and services in partnership with the Executive Director of Community Based and Residential Services.Adhere to all Chemical Dependency licensure rules, , Council on Accreditation, and applicable Administrative Rule of Montana and how those governing bodies correlate with all services provided by YBGR.Work cooperatively with all YBGR stakeholders, specifically school partners and other external YBGR referral sources, including providing chemical dependency consultation to other YBGR staffPlan and implement the expansion of chemical dependency services and programming throughout YBGR residential and community-based services.Conduct chemical dependency groups, individual, and CD assessments for identified youth and families in YBGR services, as needed.Complete all assigned paperwork within acceptable standards and maintain approved processes for delivery of services.Participate as needed in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings to assure the treatment needs of the youth are metContribute to the strategic goals and outcomes of the agency as measured by the development and achievement of individual, departmental, and organizational goals and outcomes. Participate in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) goals of the organization individually and as a team member.Deal constructively and helpfully with all other members of the organization.Fully support and model the mission and values of YBGR.Adhere to all policies, systems, safety requirements, and procedures of the organization.Take the initiative to identify problems and seek out solutions.Be a professional representative of the organization to those outside it.Participate and engage in monthly supervision / coaching meetings with the supervisor.Be aware of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of persons served.Participate in required training as appropriate to the position and beneficial to YBGR.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Required Qualifications :
21 years old or olderCriminal / Child Abuse Clearance : Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana.Bachelor's degree in psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Substance Abuse Counseling or related field.Licensure : Current Montana license as Licensed Addictions Counselor.Experience : A minimum of 3 years professional experience post LAC licensure.Required Abilities / Skills
