Job Summary:
As a Barback, you will support bartenders in delivering outstanding service by maintaining stock, cleanliness, and efficiency. Your role is crucial in creating a positive experience for both staff and patrons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Restock & Inventory: Ensure the bar is fully stocked with liquor, mixers, ice, glassware, and garnishes. Monitor inventory levels and alert managers to shortages.
- Cleanliness: Wash glassware, sanitize surfaces, empty trash, and adhere to health regulations.
- Bartender Support: Prepare garnishes (e.g., citrus slices), refill ice, and assist with drink delivery during peak hours.
- Setup/Breakdown: Arrange bar equipment before service and clean thoroughly post-shift.
- Customer Interaction: Occasionally deliver drinks, check IDs, and maintain a friendly demeanor.
- Compliance: Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service policies.
- Physical stamina to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and work nights/weekends/holidays.
- Prior hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Must meet local age requirements for alcohol handling (e.g., 18 or 21 ).
- Positive attitude and reliability.
