- This position will start on the night shift and may require mandatory overtime
Responsible for providing supervision, basic care, and behavioral management for youth placed in the County youth detention and shelter care facilities by a referring agency.

Examples of Duties
Supervision of youth in a detention environment and shelter care facility;Conducts youth intake interviews and continues to regularly document youth behaviors and emotional status;Provides basic care and supervision to youth;Monitors and assesses the behavioral and emotional characteristics of referred youth and provides coaching or additional supervision to prevent self-harm as needed;Regularly communicates orally and in writing any changes to youth to all members of the youth care facility;Prepares quarterly incident and discharge reports;Aids in the development, implementation and updating of individual treatment, management, and discharge plans;Minimum Qualifications
Education / Experience / Training :
Graduation from a college or university of recognized standing with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or closely related field; orAssociate degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or closely related field; and two (2) years' experience working with and coaching youth in crisis; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training totaling four (4) years.Certifications :
