What are the responsibilities and job description for the Web Developer position at Yellowstone County?
To oversee internet and web operations for Yellowstone County; set up, host and provide assistance and consultation to departments; and oversee multi-tasking web operations for Yellowstone County websites by using their knowledge of programming languages to code websites and applications.
- Establish policies and procedures for publishing secure Web pages and applications;
- Review and assign priority for potential secure Web applications;
- Research opportunities to publish and expand Web applications;
- May install and configure web servers; establish server directory trees, segregating public and private files; assist in the design, develop and update information in databases;
- Diagnose and fix bugs and problems with Web applications and/or Web sites;
- Research and analyze new technologies;
- Develop, code, install, test, debug and document Web-based applications using whatever tools necessary for evolving departmental needs.
- Graduation from a college or university of recognized standing with a bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Web Programming, Graphic Design or related; or
- Associate degree in Web Design, Web Programming, Graphic Design, or related field; and, two (2) years’ experience in Website maintenance, design and/or programming; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training totaling four (4) years.
- Graphic design background beneficial.
Salary : $55,020 - $64,730
