What will you do?
- Unload, unpack, and inspect shipments of products, and report any damage, missing items, or inconsistencies
- Price items with appropriate mark-ups and labeling for inventory control
- Maintain the recycling program including collection and organization of cardboard
- Aid in the maintenance of merchandise counts, daily records, and transfers within the inventory system
- Assist in physical inventories and inform supervisor of any low or over abundance in stock
- Data entry for receiving
- Follow up with vendors and receivers, regarding any additional information receiving invoice data
- Maximize margins and comply with NPS 48 pricing structure for grocery by paying close attention to invoices, price, and costing
- Perform other duties assigned
More about you
- No high school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a warehouse
- Experience receiving using a data entry system, inventorying, and shipping
- Computer knowledge and good communication skills
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle counts accurately
- Retail experience and knowledge of merchandise receiving processes, preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and NetSuite, preferred
Physical requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Frequent bending, stooping, carrying, walking, and reaching
