About the Job
The Office Manager will oversee the daily operational needs of YYMBC. This role will manage client assignments and projects while delivering high-quality service. Key responsibilities include coaching, advising, and supporting team members in meeting client expectations and assisting the President of Medical Billing with personnel administration tasks.
Key Objectives:
- Oversee operations in the billing department, including medical coding, charge entry, claims submissions, payment posting, accounts receivable follow-up, collections, electronic files, and reimbursement management.
- Assist the President of Medical Billing in developing procedures and policies for administering staff workflow and personnel activities.
- Organize workflows, supervise day-to-day activities, and ensure that billing deadlines are met and payments are maximized.
- Educate and train staff, acting as a professional subject matter expert and mentor.
- Maintain knowledge of insurance carriers, payers, and revenue cycle processes.
- Oversee new client onboarding.
- Participate in planning, troubleshooting, and processing in various billing areas.
- Analyze billing and claims for accuracy and completeness.
- Audit current processes to improve efficiency in billing and collections operations.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance.
Leadership Expectations:
- Reports directly to the President of YYMBC.
- Supervises medical billing staff, overseeing personnel and work activities.
- Evaluates staff performance annually.
- Provides guidance and support for career development opportunities.
- Establishes and maintains sound working relationships with peers, supervisors, and clients.
- Reviews employee timesheet details and reports weekly on technical accuracy.
- Collaborates with the Talent Manager to recruit, develop, and retain top talent.
Technology:
- Collaborates with vendors to implement and maintain systems.
- Trains and oversees software used within the organization:
- Clearinghouse software.
- Medical billing software.
- Data management workflow software.
