On behalf of our client Verder Scientific, we are looking for a Sales Manager - Carbolite-Gero Product Line (Vacuum Chamber Sales Specialist)

We manufacture top-tier instrumentation for various applications, including sample preparation, particle characterization, heat treatment, elemental analysis, metallographic sample preparation, and physical and dissolution tablet testing.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Manager for the Carbolite-Gero product line, specializing in vacuum chambers. This role involves interacting with a diverse group of prospects and customers, supporting them at all levels, and developing strong relationships with key account personnel and end-users.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement and Support :

  • Engage with a diverse group of prospects and customers, including managers, engineers, supervisors, technicians, professors, and students.
  • Provide pre- and post-sales support, developing strong relationships with key accounts and end-users.
  • Field customer inquiries via email and phone, and provide application consultations and technical support regarding PLC, vacuum, and other systems.

Sales and Marketing :

  • Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects .
  • Prepare and submit territory forecasts to management.
  • Prepare and send quotations and information to prospects and customers.
  • Conduct sales and marketing activities within the assigned territory.
  • Make recommendations for product improvements and marketing opportunities.
  • Represent the company at conferences, tradeshows, and meetings.
  • Travel and Demonstrations :

  • Plan and coordinate travel for customer visits and equipment demonstrations.
  • Schedule and organize travel for tradeshows
  • Conduct Webex consultations and training.
  • CRM and Reporting :

  • Manage opportunity pipelind and follow-up sales process activities via our CRM.
  • Facilitate information exchange between customers and project management to ensure continuity between our offering and the technical requirements of the customer.
  • Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Material Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a maintenance / service technician or in a research laboratory or factory setting.
  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of vacuum technology, PLC systems, and furnace sales is desirable.
  • Willingness to travel within the United States (up to 50%).
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
