POSITION TITLE: Enrollment/Community Service Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Administration
SUPERVISOR: Deputy Administrator of Program Operations
WAGE: Level 15-0 $16.13, Level 16-0 $16.94, Level 17-0 $17.79 F/T 40 HR/WK
CLOSING DATE: Open Until Filled
POSITION SUMMARY: The primary function of this position processes and manages Tribal enrollment and the housing improvement program, publishes the newsletter, maintains asset inventory and records of the Tribe.
DUTIES:
· Attends and takes minutes at Enrollment meetings.
· Communicates regularly with the Enrollment Chairman.
· Reviews enrollment status and blood degree for completeness and accuracy.
· Accepts applications and records data into computer.
· Maintains an accurate updated list of all enrolled members of the Tribe.
· Processes and issues enrollment cards for eligible members, CIB’s, and employee ID badges.
· Documents deaths as noticed/relinquishments.
· Maintains a high level of integrity/confidentially of Tribal rolls/membership information.
· Publishes a monthly Tribal newsletter.
· Manages the HIP program and works with homeowners/contractor.
· Receives HIP applications and coordinates with the BIA WNA for processing.
· Assists in processing approved/amended Tribal ordinances and Titles of Law-and-Order Code.
· Maintains the information posted on the emergency boards.
· Maintains and updates asset inventory daily.
· Updates disposal and/or transfer of assets.
· Establishes and maintains asset record archive.
· Performs visual inventory at each location twice a year.
· Reconciles employee inventory items through electronic forms system and asset spreadsheet.
· Provides annual asset report to consultant for depreciation schedule.
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED certificate required with some college level training preferred or AA degree in Business or one – two years’ experience in records keeping, indexing, categorizing, imaging systems, and asset inventory required.
- Competent in writing, spelling, grammar and with good telephone etiquette.
- Work independently, multitasker and self-starter.
- Must answer 9-line phone system and deliver messages to appropriate departments.
- Working knowledge of access, excel, word, general computer experience and basic math skills.
- Ability to type 55 wpm.
- Strong organizational/people skills and work ethics required.
- A team player and able to cooperate with all staff.
- Able to lift 40lbs.
- Valid Nevada Driver’s License required.
- Pass Pre-Employment drug screen.
