General Description:
The Certified Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality educational services to students enrolled in Youth Emergency Services, Inc. (YES House), including clients and public-school students. This role supports academic growth, promotes positive behavior, and provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in both educational and life settings. The teacher works collaboratively with internal departments and local school districts to ensure instruction is aligned with state standards and individualized student needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Wyoming Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements.
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective classroom instruction in diverse educational settings.
- Experience in trauma-informed practices, behavioral support, and individualized instruction preferred.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Instruction and Curriculum Delivery
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Wyoming State Standards.
- Adapt instruction based on student performance, behavior, and learning styles.
- Student Progress and Documentation
- Maintain accurate academic records, including grades, attendance, behavior notes, and standard proficiency levels.
- Submit required documentation to comply with internal procedures and district reporting requirements.
- Team Collaboration and Communication
- Participate in scheduled department meetings, interdisciplinary staffings, and case coordination efforts.
