When you join the YES Prep team, some of the work and responsibilities will include:
- Designing and executing the vision of elementary intervention, including leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive and effective elementary MTSS program;
- Overseeing support for all elementary Interventionists;
- Collaborating with the Elementary Special Populations team to ensure the alignment of student supports that lead to jaw-dropping results, and to develop the vision for and execution of high quality dyslexia supports;
- Collaborating with the Secondary Program Team to align intervention systems and initiatives from PK-12;
- Managing change to improve quality, impact and fidelity of intervention for all students PK-5;
- Providing real-time coaching & professional development to campus leaders in holding RTI meetings, monitoring student progress, and adjusting interventions to ensure that all students receive the appropriate level of support to succeed;
- Collaborating with the Elementary School Culture team to coordinate MTSS for school-based behavioral Responses to Intervention, ensuring students have individualized interventions;
- Collaborating with the Academics team and additional stakeholders to align academic interventions with core content;
- Procuring resources, managing program budgets, and developing curriculum to support with the execution of intervention;
- Supporting the execution of TEA-required intervention services, including summer programming for students who fail STAAR;
- Collaborating with the Home Office Assessment Team to ensure appropriate supports are provided to students in intervention on district assessments;
- Training campus testing coordinators on intervention-related tasks and deadlines for internal and external assessments;
- Reporting RTI data for elementary campuses, including PEIMS coding.
- Collaborating with the Home Office Compliance team to ensure compliance with state and federal law;
- Staying current with best practices and emerging trends in the field of MTSS and incorporate this knowledge into the district's program to serve as the district’s internal resource for MTSS;
- Ensuring that data-driven decision-making is at the forefront of the MTSS program, using data to inform the implementation of effective interventions and supports;
- Overseeing implementation of MTSS compliance software;
- Working with Analytics to update & calibrate RTI reports;
- Overseeing the execution of the elementary Section 504 and Homebound program, ensuring ALL students have support to achieve college readiness;
- Managing the Manager of Elementary 504 and Homebound to set and achieve program goals;
- Fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including teachers, parents, administrators, and community organizations;
- Additional duties as assigned.
THE PERSON
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB)
- 3 years of experience as a classroom teacher
- 3 years of leadership experience in Intervention, MTSS and/or Response to Intervention
- Experience in creating tiered intervention systems for student support
- Strong ability to navigate web-related applications and technology
- Ability to work outside of normal hours and on weekends

THE NICE TO HAVES
- Direct experience with 504 and/or Homebound services
- Proven history of implementing new or innovative programs with fidelity
- Past experience with instructional coaching and working directly with school leaders
- Experience navigating Skyward, Purple or other intervention-based systems.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and initiatives at once

- Compensation – This position is an exempt, salaried position; offers commensurate with experience.
- Health and Supplemental Insurance – A $0 monthly medical option that includes $600 towards a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20 hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.

Paid Time Off – Employees working 20 hours a week receive 15 days of Paid Time Off in addition to the system closures during the Academic Calendar.
