Experience & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or other mental health field required
- At least 2 years of experience in mental health field
A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.

Responsibilities
Below is a list of your responsibilities as a Behavioral Health Activity Therapist with YesCare at the LExington/Fayette County Detention center located in Lexington, Ky:
- Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate therapeutic/recreational activity segments of individual program plans to further the comprehensive treatment of patients.
- Develop specifically planned goals and objectives to be met with the implement of therapeutic recreation.
- Oversee activities including, but not limited to, individual recreational activities, group recreational activities, exercises, games, sports activities, hobbies, social activities, music, etc.
- Document all activities pertaining to therapy conducted and record progress notes in each patient’s mental health record on a regular basis.
