Experience & Requirements
- License in social work or counseling (LSW, LCSW, or LPC) required
- Master’s degree (M.S.W., M.S. or M.A.) in a mental health-related field such as social work, psychology, counseling psychology, marriage or family therapy
- Minimum three (3) years healthcare management experience; corrections setting preferred.
- Computer experience in word processing and spreadsheets.
- Required to exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects including the human body.
- Required to kneel, stoop, crouch and/or crawl occasionally. Frequent walking throughout site; to include walking up and down flights of stairs.
- Must have and maintain sufficient strength, agility, and endurance to perform during stressful (physical, mental and emotional) situations encountered on the job.
- Occasional running when responding to emergencies; must be able to perform BLS.
A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.

Responsibilities
Below is a list of your responsibilities as a Behavioral Health Administrator with YesCare:
- Assumes administrative responsibilities of the Mental Health Unit.
- Oversee quality mental healthcare services.
- Ensure high productivity and quality; ensure fiscal management and operate within predetermined standards or targets.
- Manages and directly participates in all disciplinary actions and grievance hearings with mental health staff, in coordination with HR.
- Supervises all mental health staff of the unit.
- Oversees and directly participates in the interviews, hiring, and recruiting of mental health staff. Ensure proper orientation of staff. Ensure high retention of staff.
- Manage and ensure exceptional results as to performance indicators.
- Reviews the vacancy control report. Prepares all statistical reports.
- Represents the department in all outside meetings.
- Responds to on-call coverage as scheduled and as necessary.
- Oversees the department’s participation in the various audits by regulatory and oversight agencies.
- Oversees the department’s compliance with the performance indicators, staffing and reporting requirements.
- Develops and maintains educational programs for the mental health staff.
- Establish and maintain the mental health database to facilitate the tracking of patients and the generation of necessary reports and statistics.
- Attends weekly unit chief meetings, monthly psychiatric meetings as well as meeting with other departments.
