About the Position
You will be responsible for providing onsite psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for inmates referred by medical or clinical services staff. You will also participate in the treatment programming and planning for the Mental Health Unit, and provide medication management to all inmates admitted to the unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide written summaries of history, diagnosis, and treatment course.
- Act as regular psychiatrist and participate in the treatment programming and planning for the Mental Health Unit.
- Provide medication management to all inmates admitted to the Mental Health Unit.
- Approve all admissions and discharges into the Mental Health Unit.
- Participate in Treatment Audit Committee.
