Overview
Yeshiva Har Torah is seeking a warm, nurturing, and energetic Pre-K Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time position involves creating a joyful and developmentally appropriate learning environment where young children build foundational academic, social, and emotional skills. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning through hands-on, play-based experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons in literacy, math, science, and social-emotional learning.
- Foster a warm and supportive classroom environment that encourages independence, creativity, and positive peer interactions.
- Use play-based learning and hands-on activities to promote exploration and discovery.
- Integrate music, movement, and storytelling to enhance learning and engagement.
- Assess student progress through observation and informal assessments, providing individualized support.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to ensure a well-rounded early childhood experience.
- Communicate regularly with parents to foster a strong home-school connection.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience teaching preschool or early childhood education preferred.
- Knowledge of child development and play-based learning approaches.
- Ability to create a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
