Position Responsibilities:
- Collect required information to report worker’s compensation and general liability claims to the company’s third-party claim administrator, coordinate and communicate with employees when necessary and internal stakeholders on claim status and work with claim vendors and employees on safe and timely return to work following workplace injuries/illnesses.
- Identify subrogation opportunities for damages sustained by the company due to a third party and handle the filing and management of claims filed against third parties and their insurers.
- Assist the risk management team with the development and deployment of policies, procedures and training related to claims handling, and other risk management topics.
- Issue certificates of insurance on behalf of the company to lenders, investors, vendors, and others as needed.
- Track and review certificates of insurance from suppliers of products, services, and others as required by company policy and contract terms and conditions.
- Distribute auto insurance identification cards, worker’s compensation worksite posters and other documents and information as needed to operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the insurance or risk management field.
- Experience with the claims handling process and overseeing performance of external claims administrators.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, and the use of excel and other platforms.
