Position Responsibilities :

  • Heavy emphasis on administration and coordination of various leaves of absence.
  • Facilitate communications and transmission of accurate data between the company, employees and health and welfare and voluntary program vendors.
  • Respond to general employee questions regarding benefit and 401(k) plan provisions and enrollment changes, notify vendors of necessary changes related to Qualifying Life Events when appropriate.
  • Manage the benefits email box and incoming benefits related voicemails.
  • Research benefits enrollment issues within multiple systems and coordinate with various benefit vendors to identify and correct enrollment errors or resolve employee concerns.
  • Assist employees with complex issues related to benefits coverage and coordination with related benefits.
  • In conjunction with external vendor, process COBRA notifications and maintain related records according to regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with the development and distribution of benefit communication materials and open enrollment.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • Three years of experience in a benefits administration position with a multi-location employer. Heavy emphasis on administration of leaves of absence.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting benefits information to groups of employees as well as responding to individual employee inquiries.
  • Current knowledge of federal and state employee benefit regulations is maintained either through formal education or self-initiated study.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to form relationships with employees at all levels and with external parties.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Exceptional ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the work.
