Our client is located in the greater Rochester, NY area and is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their growing organization. This job pays $18 /hour with an opportunity to grow your career with the company.
Summary: Assists in field chimney sweeps, maintenance and inspections by
performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
1. Arrives on time and ready to work in the field.
2. Reviews the schedule.
3. Prepares equipment and vehicles for the days appointments by:
a. Ensures vacuum is cleaned and emptied.
b. Inventories tools and equipment.
c. Conducts a safety check on the vehicle.
4. Attend and participate in morning meeting.
5. Uses software to indicate appointment status and progress i.e. “on our way” or
“finished job.”
6. Follows provided checklist for each specific job that is scheduled.
7. Carefully documents all findings on the report.
8. Completes requires report using the CSR application.
9. While in the field researches and utilizes provided tech support and
troubleshooting.
10. Collects payments in cash or other approved tender.
Essential Functions:
11. Assists with creating and sending reports to the customer.
12. When returning to the shop, submits paperwork, provides payments, and
prepares the truck for the next day. If the weather is cold brings in the cameras,
chemicals and batteries.
13. Locks up vehicles and secures equipment.
14. Checks in with office staff prior to clocking out to be sure nothing else is needed.
15. Fills out time sheet every day.
16. Participates in continuing education to maintain and grow with the company.
