- Assist in planning, conducting, and completing financial statement audits.
- Perform substantive testing, control testing, and analytical procedures to verify accuracy and compliance.
- Document audit findings, variances, and key observations in compliance with professional standards (GAAS, GAAP, or PCAOB).
- Ensure that audits comply with regulatory standards such as Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), SEC, and PCAOB requirements.
- Support the identification of compliance risks and suggest recommendations for improvements.
- Assist with updating and monitoring internal compliance policies and frameworks.
- Prepare detailed audit workpapers that align with firm and professional standards.
- Draft sections of audit reports under the guidance of senior team members.
- Maintain organized and complete documentation for compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial and operational data.
- Address client queries professionally and provide clear explanations of audit procedures.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and build trust through timely and accurate communication.
- Draft comprehensive audit reports outlining findings, implications, and recommendations for improvements.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and audit strategies.
- Engage in ongoing training and development programs to enhance auditing skills and knowledge.
- Associate's degree in Business, or previous work experience in regulatory compliance while working with a financial institution.
- Working toward CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in auditing, public accounting, or compliance roles.
- Internship experience in public accounting is a plus.
- Familiarity with auditing software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Basic understanding of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and auditing principles (GAAS).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow.
