Job Title : Final Test Engineer
Location : Chandler, AZ
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Final Acceptance Testing (FAT) :
- Conduct final test and qualification procedures for semiconductor equipment to ensure all specifications and performance metrics are met.
- Execute final test checklists, sign off on completed tasks, and confirm readiness for customer delivery.
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics :
- Apply systematic troubleshooting methodologies to diagnose equipment malfunctions.
- Conduct root cause analyses, determine severity of issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Data Collection & Analysis :
- Collect, process, and analyze test data; use statistical methods to validate equipment performance.
- Propose improvements or modifications based on test results.
- Process Recipe & Optimization :
- Refine process recipes based on test results and specific customer requirements.
- Collaborate with process engineering teams to optimize tool performance.
- Vacuum & Safety Procedures :
- Perform pump-down for vacuum chambers and load-locks, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Ensure lock-out / tag-out processes are correctly implemented and verified.
- Equipment Handling & Calibration :
- Work with robotics (e.g., Kawasaki) and other automated systems (load ports, aligners, ionizer bars) to ensure proper installation and calibration.
- Evaluate and optimize ESD requirements for safe wafer / panel handling.
- Documentation & Compliance :
- Record test processes, production data, and final test outcomes meticulously for compliance and traceability.
- Maintain adherence to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and company policies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Partner with manufacturing, R&D, suppliers, and other teams to resolve technical challenges quickly.
- Provide coaching to junior engineers or production staff on mechanical components, adjustments, and alignments.
- Continuous Improvement :
- Conduct Design of Experiments (DOEs) to optimize product design, solve manufacturing issues, or enhance process efficiencies.
- Suggest process or product improvements based on FAT findings and industry best practices.
- Reporting & Communication :
- Write daily reports on testing activities, present findings to supervisors and management.
- Offer feedback on peers’ performance and collaborate on team goals during reviews.
