We are seeking an experienced and passionate Wine Director to join our team!
Required Qualities :
- Passion & Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of Old and New World wines, varietals, and regions, with a clear passion for wine and hospitality.
- Proven Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years in a sommelier or wine director role, ideally within a fine dining or Michelin-starred environment.
- Leadership Skills : Strong leadership and team-building skills to inspire, guide, and educate staff.
- Excellent Communication : Ability to clearly communicate with guests, staff, and vendors, both verbally and in writing.
- Detail-Oriented : Highly organized with keen attention to detail to maintain wine lists, inventory, and pairings.
- Certifications : Advanced Sommelier certification (Court of Master Sommeliers) or equivalent credentials preferred.
Responsibilities :
- Wine Program Development : Curate and manage an extensive wine list that aligns with our menu, elevates the dining experience, and reflects seasonal and regional diversity.
- Wine Pairings : Collaborate closely with the chef and culinary team to design thoughtful wine pairings for seasonal tasting menus and special events.
- Inventory Management : Oversee wine inventory, manage supplier relationships, track trends, and maintain cost control and profitability.
- Guest Experience : Engage with guests, offer wine recommendations, and provide a high level of personalized service, ensuring a memorable and educational experience.
- Team Training : Conduct regular wine education sessions for front-of-house staff, improving service quality and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
