The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. Position Summary:
Collect lab specimens and perform basic laboratory tests and reporting of results.
Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of on the job training, including at least a course of study in Medical terminology or Anatomy and Physiology or similar related topics
- ASCP Board of Registry Phlebotomy Technician certification, or equivalent national certification must be obtained within one year.
- General Lab equipment and maintenance
- Work with computers and instrumentation.
