The Center Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in helping to share and drive the Y’s mission within the communities that we serve. Key Responsibilities
- Understand and be the center champion for YMCA brand standards.
- Assist in planning and coordination of center-specific marketing events and campaigns, ensuring alignment with association marketing and overall marketing calendar.
- Create and manage all center-specific flyers, digital slides, reader boards, etc. based on existing, or to be created, templates.
- Collect and write center-specific email features and coordinate with marketing team for deployment.
- Manage and update center social media accounts.
- Attend and participate in regular marketing council and center meetings.
- Become center expert in utilization of organizational marketing tools like Marq, PowerPoint, monday.com, SharePoint, etc.
- Make center specific print orders through printshop storefront.
- Act as point-person to collect and submit member stories for campaign and fundraising uses.
- Meet performance measurement by telling the Y story and raising charitable dollars to fulfill our mission.
- Assist staff leadership team in reaching campaign goals through recruiting campaigners, making personal asks and supporting branch events.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism or a similar field is preferred.
- At least one year of professional experience supporting marketing or communications in a professional setting required.
- Proven ability to be an innovative, creative, proactive and a self-directed team player who works in a fast-paced environment and meets deadlines.
- Must be knowledgeable and experienced in managing and updating corporate social media accounts.
- Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills including ability to interview members about their experiences, compose content, write and edit compelling Y impact stories.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people of all ages, all walks of life and all backgrounds.
- Time management and multitasking skills to meet tight deadlines.
- Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in person training throughout employment as required.
- Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).

- Regularly required to talk or hear in person and/or through technology.
- Frequently required to sit and use repetitive hand movements for typing.
- Must occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds and seldom lift or move a higher amount.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Occasionally may need to plan and participate in programming or events outdoors.
- Frequently required to work in spaces with multiple coworkers and members.
