Position Type
This is a part-time position. Hours will be between five to 10 hours per week or as needed. Hours
are flexible, however will require some tasks to be completed during specific business hours.
Position Summary
As the Retail and E-commerce Intern, you will help manage and support Camp Tecumseh's retail
services, including its physical Trading Post stores and online platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- RETAIL MANAGEMENT
• Assist in placing orders and managing inventory for retail items.
• Help with stock counting and maintaining adequate inventory.
• Maintain and manage the Trading Post's point-of-sale systems.
• Operate the Trading Post during its open hours, ensuring smooth sales operations.
• Ensure the stores are well-organized and clean.
• Evaluate and adjust the pricing structure for retail products.
• Suggest new retail products for the Trading Post.
• Set goals for Trading Post sales and work towards achieving them.
ECOMMERCE MANAGEMENT
• Manage the fulfillment of online orders and keep the online store's inventory updated.
• Respond to customer inquiries or delivery issues.
• Maintain the online store's product listings, adding or removing items as necessary.
• Implement new ideas to improve efficiency and promote growth in e-commerce operations. - ADMINISTRATION, ORGANIZATION, AND COMMUNICATION
• Communicate professionally and clearly via phone and email.
• Perform office tasks or administrative projects as assigned by the CFO or other
administrative personnel.
