General Function
Responsible for assisting with the developing and implementing an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child enrolled in the Attleboro YMCA’s preschool program.
Know How
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or an Associate’s degree in a related field with 3 credits in Early Childhood Education (Child Development). Must meet Massachusetts Dept. of Early Education criteria and QRIS level 2 standards.) At least one years teaching experience or requirement for experience in accordance with EEC.
- Must have the ability to relate positively to children, parents, staff members and volunteers.
- Demonstrate success in working as a member of a team.
- Effective and strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Must be CPR and First Aid certified.
- Must have knowledge and understand EEC Licensing Regulations
- Demonstrate knowledge of YMCA Child Abuse Prevention guidelines
- Attend all staff meetings
- Comply with professional development requirements annually
- Exhibit desire to encourage strong team work environment
