Join our Kindercamp team this summer! The YMCA of Northern Colorado is looking for Teacher Aides with a passion for guiding children through fun, enriching activities. Strong customer service skills and a positive work attitude are a must, as you will be a role model for little ones. Help build an environment where children can sing camp songs, explore the world with nature walks, and learn about arts and humanities. Responsibilities :
- Under the direct supervision of the Director, ECT or AECT, supervises children in both small and large group program activities.
- Supports with the implementation of curriculum within the established guidelines.
- Support in the development of activities and implements daily lesson / activity plan
- Ensures program is consistently following all YMCA, Colorado Department of Health and Human services and Health department expectations.
- Maintains positive relationships and effective communication with parents and staff. Engages parents in program activities and events. Models relationship-building skills, including Listen First in all interactions.
- Maintains confidentiality of YMCA issues, incidents and records
- Be on time for all shifts; be flexible to accommodate unexpected schedule changes, including full days.
- Maintains program site and equipment.
- Attends and participates in program activities, staff meetings, and staff training.
