General Function:

Know-How:
- Education and Experience:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required; BSAC certification (provided if needed); EDU 119 preferred but not required
- Prior experience working with children in group settings is preferred
- Knowledge:
- Understanding of child development principles and best practices for working with children
- Knowledge of program safety and behavior management techniques

Principal Activities:
- Activity Planning and Implementation:

Physical Requirements:
The Group Leader must represent the YMCA in a professional manner and be capable of freely maneuvering the grounds and facilities. The role requires clear communication and physical activity, including walking, stooping, carrying at least 50 lbs, sitting, standing, pushing, climbing, kneeling, and crouching.

- Report all accidents on the same day they occur.

- Wear seat belts at all times in company vehicles.
