What are the responsibilities and job description for the Salem YMCA Before/After School Part-Time Group Leader position at YMCA of Catawba Valley?
This posting is for a group leader position at the Salem Elementary YMCA site. However, we are currently hiring group leaders for Valdese Elementary, Hildebran Elementary, Oak Hill Elementary, WA Young Elementary, and Salem Elementary.
Group leaders must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma.
Hours are Monday-Friday 2pm-6pm and some mornings 6am-7:30am.
Group leaders are responsible for engaging groups of children with ages varying from 5-12 years old. Groups are generally between 10-15 children, depending on their ages. Site directors prepare activities for the day and group leaders do the activities with the children. Group leaders take groups to the playground, gym, and classroom to do group games, crafts, snack, and other activities. This is a fun and rewarding job that doesn't require working at night or on the weekends!!! We train you and pay for your certifications.

This position requires fun, energetic individuals who love to play and have fun but are also responsible, respectful, and caring.
Applicants must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma to be considered. No experience is required. Must be able to pass a state background check.
