Description

The LIVESTRONG Instructor is a relationship builder, and passionate about connecting participants in the Livestrong program to YMCA fitness classes geared towards cancer survivors in a safe, enjoyable and positive environment.
Qualifications :
- Must be at least 18 years old
- CPR, First Aid, AED certified and hold national certification (ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) in group fitness instructor or YMCA Foundations of group Exercise certification (or equivalent).
- Able to gain the fundamentals of Listen First E-Learning (or equivalent) prior to LIVESTRONG training
- Able to complete LIVESTRONG at the YMCA Instructor training prior to first class
- Able to complete Lymphedema Webinar within 14 days of LIVESTRONG at the YMCA Instructor training
- Proficient computer skills to help engage cancer survivors with E-Learning prior to LIVESTRONG training
- At least one year of experience teaching one year of group wellness classes preferred
Job Responsibilities :
Schedule : Varies; mornings, evenings, weekends-let us know your availability!
Job Type : Part-Time Hourly
Pay : $21.00 per hour. Plus, access to YMCA facilities (gym, pool ect.) for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave.
