Are you ready to inspire our oldest campers to grow, lead, and embrace new challenges? We're seeking enthusiastic and adaptable counselors who are passionate about creating meaningful connections with middle schoolers. As part of our Ranger group, you'll motivate youth in grades 6-8 to leave their electronics behind and dive into engaging, hands-on activities that promote independence and exploration in a welcoming environment for all.
Rate of Pay:
Starting at $13.00-$13.50/hour Working roughly 30-35 hours per week
Who Are We?
The YMCA of Central Stark County is an inclusive, nonprofit organization striving to promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility to strengthen communities. The Y Day Camp program serves over 750 children a day in seven different day camp locations in Stark County. Camps are located in YMCA branches, school buildings, or stand-alone centers, with 50-70% of each day spent outdoors.

Qualifications:
- At least 18 years old, completed high school, and ability to pass a background check.
- Availability May through August 2025 (exact dates vary by location) for training and work hours.
- Prior experience with children (camp, child care, tutoring, coaching, etc.), especially middle schoolers, is preferred.
- A dynamic personality, love for new adventures, and a commitment to creating a fun, engaging, and welcoming experience for Rangers.
