Position Overview:
Specialty Camp Instructors lead engaging and fun-filled activities for campers aged 5-7 years old in our Super Tenderfoot Camp. Instructors will facilitate pre-prepped STEAM, Art, Music, Social Studies, and Literacy activities, while also participating in outdoor adventures, swimming, and playtime in our indoor and outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise young campers in structured activities and free play
- Facilitate pre-prepared lessons in STEAM, Art, Music, Social Studies, and Literacy
- Actively participate in swimming and outdoor play with campers
- Ensure a safe, fun, and inclusive camp environment
- Engage with children in a positive and enthusiastic manner
- Work collaboratively with fellow instructors and camp staff
Qualifications:
- Passion for working with kids (experience in camps, childcare, or education preferred)
- Energetic, patient, and enthusiastic personality
- Comfortable swimming and being outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lead activities and manage a group of young children
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to attend staff training starting May 17th
- At least 18 years or older with a high school degree or equivalent. There are a limited number of positions available for people under 18 who do not possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Schedule & Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $14-$16 per hour, based on experience
- Shifts Available:
- Morning: 6:45 AM - 12:45 PM
- Afternoon: 12:30 PM - 6:15 PM
- First week of camp begins June 2
- Seasonal position during camp sessions
Pay Range: $14-$16/hr
