POSITIONSUMMARY : The AfterSchool Site Supervisor position supports the work of the YMCA of CollierCounty, Inc., a leading not-for-profit organization committed to strengtheningthe communities in Collier County through its core focus areas of YouthDevelopment, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. The Site Supervisor position is responsiblefor the overall development, implementation, and supervision of the AfterSchool Program, with the support and guidance of the School Age Manager. He / she serves as the leader of a team ofpeople with the goal of providing excellent after-school care, and full daycare on non-school days for school aged children aged K-5thgrade. It is his / her responsibility tomake sure that YMCA standards and procedures as well as those of the Departmentof Children and Families are followed. He / she will supervise Program Counselors and will make regular reportsto the School Age Manager.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS :

  • Develop and implement all aspects of the After School Program.
  • Supervise and schedule support staff and maintain properadult / child ratios.
  • Manage all assigned staff, addressing issues in a professionalmanner when needed, and documenting such issues appropriately.
  • Ensure all groups are covered according to mandated ratios whenstaff are absent.
  • Maintain up to date, accurate, and complete written records on allenrolled children.
  • Maintain on-site staff personnel records as required by DCF andOEL.
  • Complete weekly attendance records in format required as per theRFQ contract.
  • Assist in maintaining allocated budget for school year.
  • Follow up with support staff on mandated trainings and in-servicehours needed.
  • Attend bi-weekly meetings with School Age Manager, andmonthly / bi-monthly meetings with ASPIRE staff.
  • Complete program evaluations once per semester and report toSchool Age Manager on analysis of evaluation.
  • Maintain all standards, policies, and procedures for After SchoolPrograms as required by the Department of Children and Families, the RFQ, andthe YMCA.
  • Develop a positive relationship with parents by creating ampleopportunities for communication and being open to their requests wheneverpossible.
  • Develop a positive relationship with school officials andemployees and work with them to coordinate schedule changes, arrivals,departures, and progress.
  • Review and complete payroll weekly.
  • Inventory and order needed supplies and create monthlynewsletters.
  • Inventory Program equipment and supplies and notify School AgeManager when more are needed, while maintaining allotted budget.
  • Review all incident, accident, illness, and discipline reports andmake verbal reports to the parents at pickup.
  • Observe behaviors and development levels of the children and keepwritten records when problems or concerns arise; inform the School Age Managerwhen a parent conference is warranted and initiate and participate in theconference.
  • Collect and record weekly payment of fees from parents and ensurethat all payments are processed into Daxko system in a timely manner and withaccuracy.
  • Notify all necessary school staff of any roster changes via e-mailevery week, and as they occur.
  • Create a group email and send a minimum of one email per week tothe families with highlights, reminders, events / activities. Copy the School Age Manager, YouthDevelopment Director, and CEO on these emails.
  • Communicate with parents on an individual level if needed to shareinformation, pictures, etc.
  • Keep the School Age Manager informed of all program issues as theyarise especially when related to the children's behavior and development.
  • Be familiar with YMCA mission, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in YMCA programs, promotions, fundraisers, and events.
  • Be an enthusiastic, dedicated, reliable and committed leader ofour team.

  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Degreein Early Childhood Education or CDA (preferred).
  • Meetall Department of Children and Family standards.
  • Certificationin Infant, Child and Adult CPR, and Basic First Aid.
  • ValidDriver's License and good driving record.
  • 21years of age or older.
  • Completionof the state issued Director's Credential within one year of hire for sitesunder the RFQ contract.
  • Abilityto relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economicsegments of the community.

  • TRAININGREQUIREMENTS :

  • Completionof 45-hour Child Care course required by the State of Florida - must enroll forclass within 30 days of employment.
  • Completion of YMCA Child Sexual Abuse Preventionand Appropriate Touch classes
  • Completion of the YMCA's Blood BornePathogens training
  • Completionof the Social Media & Digital Communications class
  • Completionof the YMCA's Safe Lifting training
  • Additional training classes as requiredfor this position to meet YMCA quality standards.
