What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Counselor position at YMCA OF COLLIER COUNTY INC?
The School Age Camp Counselor is a vital member of a team of people to provide excellent care for school-aged children (K-5th grade) during summer camp hours. Under the guidance of the Site Director, he / she will be responsible for direct supervision of children, implementation of planned daily activities, and maintenance of all aspects of the program environment. He / she will make every effort to develop and foster a positive relationship with the children, their parents, school personnel, and community members.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
1. Certification in Infant, Child and Adult CPR, and Basic First Aid (preferred)
2. 18 Years or older
3.. Must have own transportation.
4. Must be available to work full day shifts and all summer in alignment with summer camp hours
5. Must be able to stand, remain outdoors and maintain continual physical endurance for
extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds, watch, listen and
facilitate group activities.
6. Must be mentally alert and be able to process and follow directions.
7. Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in the English language.
